Senscient has secured significant orders from two of the largest projects under development in the Middle East. Oman’s Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP) and Kuwait’s Clean Fuel Project (CFP) have placed orders for a total of 455 H2S systems. It is possible that additional follow-on orders will be placed by these projects in the future.
RHIP is an integrated oil and sour gas facility that is under development by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). The RHIP facility will include sour gas processing facilities and associated gathering and injection systems and export pipelines. It will handle the production of oil and gas from the Harweel oil reservoir and the production of gas with condensate from the Rabab reservoir. The facility will deliver 4.9 MMsm3/d of sweet gas and 9,700 m3/d of condensate in addition to approximately 16 MMsm3/d of high pressure sour gas for injection.
CFP is one of the strategic projects of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). It is aimed at upgrading and expanding the existing refineries at Mina Abdulla and Mina Al-Ahmadi. The CFP will transform the two refineries into an integrated merchant refining complex that meets the diversified requirements of the world oil market. Total refining capacity of this complex after the CFP completion will increase to 800,000 barrels per day.
