The world's largest offshore oil and gas operator, Statoil, has selected Senscient’s technology for multiple production facilities on the Norwegian continental shelf. After successful trials were conducted at Hammerfest and Snohvit, Statoil has decided to install ELDSTM gas detection sensors on the following platforms:
“Our first project for Statoil was in Canada, where Statoil is a joint-venture partner in the Terra Nova oilfield. Our success there translates well into the North Sea which has a similar environment and challenges with harsh weather. Within the oil and gas industry, Statoil has a well-deserved reputation for technical excellence, safety and environmental performance. Statoil’s decision to adopt Senscient’s technology was made after thorough technical assessment. Earlier this year, orders from the Norwegian sector of the North Sea surpassed 100 systems for Senscient. We are very grateful to our partners at Håland Instrumentation AS for their hard work and dedication to Senscient,” said Rajat Barua, CEO of Senscient.
