Senscient has appointed Spartan Controls as its distributor for Western Canada

To support its growth, Senscient has appointed Spartan Controls as its distributor in the Western Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan as well as in Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories.

Jim Hueston, Manager of the Fire and Security division of Spartan Controls commented, “We are pleased to have been appointed by Senscient as the distributor of Senscient’s full range of products in Western Canada.  Combined with our existing portfolio, this will no doubt position us as the ultimate solutions provider for Fire and Security Systems in the region.”

Rajat Barua, CEO of Senscient said, “Harsh weather conditions combined with high levels of sour gas production have resulted in strong interest in Senscient’s technology in the Canadian market.  In 2013, we experienced considerable success in Eastern Canada.  In particular, the Terra Nova project for which we supplied ELDSTM technology to upgrade the gas detection system on board the Suncor operated FPSO was a major achievement.  We now intend to replicate that success in Western Canada.  Spartan Controls has a reputation for technology leadership and high quality service.  We are confident that this partnership will deliver success for both companies.”
